Terms of Use
Last updated: 2026-10-01
1. About these terms
These terms govern your use of the mobile app Scora (the “App”) provided by Ask White (“we”). By installing or using the App you agree to these terms and to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA). If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. What the App does
The App is a scoreboard that shows and records points, games, sets, serve and clocks according to each sport’s rules. It works on iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch, can use another device as a remote control, and can show the scoreboard on a TV.
3. Your data
- Your matches, history, teams and settings are stored only on your own devices. We do not operate any server that receives or stores your data.
- The remote and Apple Watch features use your local network (Wi-Fi and peer-to-peer connections) and the connection to your Apple Watch only to connect your own nearby devices directly. This traffic does not go through the internet and is used only to control and display the scoreboard.
- Voice calls use your device’s built-in speech. No audio or text is sent anywhere.
- We cannot recover data lost because a device is damaged or lost, or because the App was deleted.
- See our Privacy Policy for details.
4. Free features and purchases
- Free: the two-team score counter, table tennis and volleyball with standard rules, timer, stopwatch, whistle and buzzer, two basic themes, and your 10 most recent matches in history.
- Scora Pro is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase. It unlocks every sport’s official rules and rule settings, up to 8 players, remote control from iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch, standalone Apple Watch scoring, big-screen display on a TV, voice calls, unlimited history, result share images and all themes.
- The App has no subscriptions and no ads.
- Payment is processed by Apple. The price is shown on the App Store before you buy. Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple’s policies. You can restore your purchase with “Restore purchase” using the same Apple Account.
- If a purchase is refunded or revoked, the related features stop working, but your match history is never deleted.
5. Accuracy of rules
Each sport’s rules are implemented carefully from the rules published by its governing bodies. Results may still differ because of competition-specific regulations, rule changes or your settings. In official matches, the referee and the competition’s regulations always take precedence. Please treat the App’s display as a reference.
6. Remote control and big-screen display
- Only devices that know the 4-digit code shown on the scoreboard can control it. Take care with the code in public places.
- Connections may lag or drop depending on the environment and devices. If a connection drops, the App reconnects automatically.
7. Changes to the App
We may update, change or discontinue features of the App.
8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The App is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, loss of data, or damages related to the outcome or running of any match arising from use of the App. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded.
9. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The Tokyo District Court has exclusive jurisdiction in the first instance over disputes relating to these terms. This does not affect mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live.
10. Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. We will announce important changes in the App or on this page.
